..and well, after a long almost seven year haul, efata has collectively decided to call it quits. unfortunately (or fortunately), there are no juicy background stories to better dramatize the band's timely demise - simply, it was so. we'd actually been feeling like we were running miles inside a hamster's wheel for some time now, and the time came now that we unanimously agreed it had been an amazing story, but it was also the end. dramatization of last encounter: ."so...i'm kinda thinking that's it..?" ."yea..i think that's it" ."mhmm..that's it" ."mkay..we're done here. ."let's go get some coffee." couldn't have gone smoother. so, thanks to all those who have helped out somehow the last 7 years. but special thanks to the following bands, for either inspiration, a ride, a show, help, a cd, a compliment, a tip, a suggestion, money, etc, etc. (in NO particular order): -the great divorce -expose the flaw -brea -in arms -five minutes to freedom -switch syndrome/eleanora -the holy ghost circuit -i am empire/vespera -til the end/our living memory -a glass gesture -finding mercury -an opiate for angels -know you're waking -novice -the fighting jacks -audrye sessions -ashes ashes -holding onto hope -inverse -issue10 -in reverent fear ...love you all, heart and soul. keep in touch to learn of any other project or endeavors we each embark on. music's engraved within us - it's the only thing we know how to do with passion so i'm sure we'll be involved in it in one way or another. besides, it's as they say; 'donde hubo llamas, quedaran cenizas'. cheers. -efata |
